Hello, This is aichan95, posting under my sister's login. It is with great sadness and regret that I inform everyone that my sister yamikochan was killed in a recent accident. She will be deeply missed. | | Monday, July 7th, 2008 | | 6:14 am |
I can't believe Driver-san took on the last 1200 miles of this trip in THE SAME DAY. A day ago, we're at a Motel 6 in western Arkansas. Now we're home. It's been a crazy wild fun trip. I've witnessed the endless fields and prairies of Kansas, been to the top of a mountain, zipped up and down the Rockies, went through Zion National Park, survived the heat of the desert in Nevada without overheating despite while cruising at 80+ with the air conditioning cranked, cruised the strip in Vegas, went across Hoover Dam, tooled around on old Route 66 for a few miles, had to put up with 90 octane gas for a couple days (dear sister how do you stand 87?), and finished it all off with a marathon run home while jamming to I've Sound Trance. Total mileage: 5341. I'm pooped. | | Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 | | 10:10 am |
No pictures from yesterday. Just driving. And more driving. And more driving. And we're only a little over 1/5 the way in, but not as far distance-wise as Driver-san would have liked. "We're almost a whole day behind!" he says. But who was it that got off to a late start on both Sunday, Monday, and today? Who was it that stopped off at Best Buy? Who was it that took a detour for the model train shop? Who was it that picked the long way and otherwise added about 100 miles to the trip? Who is it that's waiting for Microcenter to open? orz orz orz So far I'm averaging about 31MPG. That's about par for me in the first place, and considering Driver-san has the cruise control set to about 80 most of the time, it's not bad at all. | | Monday, June 30th, 2008 | | 12:42 am |
an interesting start
The sign said "Welcome to West Virginia", but the storm clouds said differently. | | Sunday, June 29th, 2008 | | 5:48 am |
Road Trip begins TODAY! Or at least whenever Driver-san wakes up. can't wait can't wait can't wait | | Monday, June 2nd, 2008 | | 3:59 am |
It's been one of those weekends. The kind where Driver-san brings out a bunch of tools so that he can do all kinds of things to me AND MY FRONT END IS UP OFF THE GROUND SO I CAN'T ESCAPE. There have been a lot of those weekends lately. ._. Current Mood: uncomfortable | | Sunday, April 20th, 2008 | | 12:40 pm |
wtf??
Yay I have shiny new brakes! Slotted rotors all around FTW! They held up well on the way out to Tekkoshocon and back. Inner Pittsburgh is astonishingly lumpy and hilly. Good way to make sure my new brakes worked. But now Driver-san is mad at me because my air-conditioning stopped working. It's not fair because he let my sister go almost a year without it, and that hasn't hurt her. In fact, why should I care? It's not like I'm the one that needs or uses it anyway. It's just some comfort and convenience thing, and I don't run any worse without it. What's really not fair to me is if that's not fixed soon (and that's all up to Driver-san), I won't be allowed to go on any kind of big trips, or to any conventions further away than Otakon, or even any day trips to Skyline Drive. Just back and forth to work. Bleh. What am I supposed to do, fix myself? Driver-san, stop bawwing and roll down the windows. gaahhhhhzomgwtfbbqcnn My brakes are shot. :[ Driver-san says he's going to get the parts and replace them on his own. Why am I not looking forward to this? | | Saturday, February 9th, 2008 | | 1:39 am |
Driver-san says there's an 80% chance of a major road trip this year! Not the 3-day weekend kind either, but at least a solid week! No idea when or where though. But I'm ok with that, I'll take what I can get. Current Mood: WHEECurrent Music: "Nano Desu" - Yui Horie | | Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 | | 6:51 am |
ZOMG http://www.dionaea-house.com/I swear that Driver-san looked at a place like it several years ago when he was looking for a new place to live. ZOMGZOMGZOMFG Current Mood: nervous | | Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 | | 6:16 am |

Why is it that Driver-san's method of cleaning out aichan95 means moving stuff to MY trunk? Current Music: "Lean like a Cholo" - Down AKA Kilo | | Wednesday, September 5th, 2007 | | 5:06 am |
Too long since my last post..... Driver-san is talking about going to the beach next weekend! But I'm kinda hoping he takes Ai-chan instead or maybe it'll rain. Last year I went to the beach and suddenly I needed new rear brakes. Coincidence? I don't think so! But I'm probably gonna get dragged along again. I'd much prefer to go to AWA later this month but Driver-san says that's not going to happen this year and there's really no reason to go. He even admits that it's only about the road trip aspect anymore, and that can be done any time. Except winter; winter sucks. Last month had a fun weekend though. More Skyline Drive fun, and a bit of Blue Ridge Parkway, then blitzing up the interstate while playing some I've Trance music. Pictures eventually? Driver-san is still on 2nd shift. It's not so bad though. His roommate and her Element are here during the evenings to keep me company when I'm not on driving duty, and there's just enough room in the parking pad for all three of us when everyone's home. Uguu... Been getting home at 3AM each night. ( As promised! )140k miles already... u_u Current Music: raindrops on the windshield | | Thursday, July 12th, 2007 | | 11:40 am |
This summer is weird so far. Driver-san leaves for work now at around noonish each day, and he and aichan95 both tell me it's because of going to second shift. I know he's done off-shifts before, but this is supposed to be permanent? Meh. This is going to be like when he was doing the hotspot thing, I just know it. New anime! What to watch. There's something called "Zombie Loan" coming out, from the creators of "Rozen Maiden" and the first episode looks promising. Tomorrow/later today/sometime this week I shall post my first Image CD! 18 songs reflective of me! There's more than 18, but Driver-san says they wouldn't all fit on a cd. ( fusionstar, you probably already have at least half of them since there's a lot of KOTOKO in it.) Current Music: "no one gets out of her alive" - PIG | | Thursday, July 5th, 2007 | | 1:52 am |
I'm back home now. While I sat in a parking lot for almost a week, Driver-san and friends were out in California watching concerts (including Momoi!!!!) and having fun at Anime Expo. And I'm sitting in a damn parking lot, less than a mile from Driver-san's workplace, with NO idea when he's getting back with his token 58 tons of convention loot. Fun. One of the cars next to me said something about sitting there for at least a month. AAAHHH NO Driver-san is still saying something about my O2 sensors needing replaced anyway? Huh, go figure. I hope he rethinks that plan, because the last thing I need is him poking around "there". Aaaand I'm due for an oil change. Yay, I passed inspection. Driver-san was worried, because of an error code that came up last week. It's not like anything was really wrong, I was just trying to get his attention because he was sitting in a parking lot doing nothing but looking at a cd he just bought! That was the only way I could think of. But he got all angry, so I guess I won't do that to him anymore. Now to take Driver-san and his friends to the airport to go to the biggest anime convention in the US while I sit in a parking lot for almost a week. But he needs to clean some crap out first. Tell me is it time to get down
Driver-san bought the following DVDs, and is checking out the English dub of them! Here's what I think. Rozen Maiden: Needs moar desu. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Needs moar FIESTA! Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Needs moar MIKURU BEEEAAAAMU! Watching anime all day is ok but I'm bored from sitting here and I want to go somewhere fun. Driver-san's workplace doesn't count. Since Driver-san is a cheapskate, I have upgraded my account to Plus! This is mostly because I wanted more LJ icons. Like my newest one? Driver-san is also using it on the CRSX forums, the thief! Forgot to say how Tekkoshocon went. It was fun, I guess. Not as fun as before just because of the trip to and from, but it could have been a lot worse. The trip home was a bit weird. Sometimes Driver-san will make a side trip to what he calls his old neighborhood, and when he does he invariably stops to visit his father's grave. We went through some of the side streets to where he used to live, and "Last Regrets" starts playing. He asked me to change the song, so I picked some DJ Sharpnel. I know he normally likes "Last Regrets", so I asked him what was up. ( So he told me. D: )You know how sometimes, someone will tell you something and it leaves you feeling deflated and you don't know how to react? Even though whoever is telling you all this isn't showing much emotion? It was a lot like that. Lesson that day: Sometimes a song can be TOO appropriate for a given situation. This was over a month ago, but it came to mind earlier today. I think I'm gonna go listen to some Yui Horie. Current Mood: T_TCurrent Music: need something upbeat | | Friday, May 4th, 2007 | | 11:38 pm |
*sigh*
If 4chan's /b/ were to invade the ClubRSX forums, would anyone ever notice? |
